Chris Kling, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1978 and continued her education at the University of South Alabama. She has studied at the workshops of Mary Britten Lynch, Morgan Samuel Price, Joe Taylor, and the portrait workshops of Ann Kenyon and Daniel Greene. She has attended the Portrait Arts Festival in Montgomery, Alabama, and the Portrait Society of America's portrait conference in Washington, DC, both of which were attended by portrait artists from all over the world. Chris has participated in shows in Mobile, Alabama; Havana, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; and St. Augustine, Florida and received numerous awards. Her work is currently displayed in private and corporate collections all over the United States including Scott Paper Corporation, Proctor and Gamble, and Caldwell Banker Realty in Mobile, Alabama.
