About Pavel Nikitchenko

His modern, moody landscapes of serene waters reflecting sky and vivid fields of flowers to intense colors capturing days in sunsets are textural paintings with lush, energetic brush strokes. Pavel Nikitchenko's contemporary interpretations of nature are the beauty of places visited during his move from Russia to the Czech Republic and the United States. Pavel Nikitchenko is a well-known artist to the Southeast part of the United States.

Pavel was born in Moscow in 1963. In 1983 he entered the Moscow State Academy of Fine Art. From 1986-88 he participated in the work of the Moscow Experimental Studio of Painting and Graphic Art. From 1987-89 he studied art at Professor Butoroff’s private Art School in Moscow, and in 1992 he served as an art director at the International Association of Art Historians, where he organized exhibitions of modern Russian artists for two years. In 1995 Pavel moved to Prague, the Czech Republic, where he worked and lived, enjoying the inspiration of that beautiful City while also managing his own independent gallery. In the fall of 2000, his art was for the first time exhibited to a new audience of the Western Hemisphere.
